Fantastic Frontier game review

SUMMARY

Fantastic Frontire is a unique cooperative adventure RPG that takes a light inspiration from Zelda, Dark souls and runescape; and combines it into a unique immersive and game expansive game experience on roblox.

It offers a fresh take on a vast and diverese open-world, where the player can choose to explore severals locations like: plains, forests, caves, beaches, lakes, temples etc. The world is filled with unique characters that have a rich story telling, that will remind you of ZELDA series. On top of that there are secrets, puzzles and treasures to be found.

The world is extremy dangourese and hardcore with monster that have their own unique attack pattern. You will always need to watch your back to not get ambushed by a moster that could kill you and make you loose the loot you've collected. The combat system feels like a light of the combat system found in the DARK SOULS series. Gear, dogging, positioning and timing your attacks is a the key to defeat your enemies.

Players will have to figure out themselves how to earn gold coins in the game, that would be used for upgrading their heros weapons, armor and skills. There are severals methods that can be used for earning gold in the game: completing quests, battling monster, gardening fields, mining ores, fishing river and lake, or collecting plants and resources found in the wild. In many ways the resource gathering remings you of classic RUNESCAPE mmorpg.

The best part of Fantastic Frontier is that you can team up with your freinds and plays thorugh variety of activities to keep players engaged for hours on end.

EXPLORATION

The expereince to the Fantastic Frontires world, is the vast map and secrets to be found. Fatanstsic Frontier has a huge world map to explore toghether with your friends and wide range of dangoures monster to discover.

Bring a map..

You can easiliy get lost in Fantastic Frontier when exploring the depths of the map. If you think its to hard than you can view this map as guide. (Just click on it to make the fantastic frontier map bigger).

Talk to strangers..

You will meet many different strangers that look funny in Fantastic Frontier. Try speaking to them; they can offer you information, items, quests, mini-games or other interactions. Just be cerfull that he is friendly and not a monster that will attack you.

Avoid the night!!!

Do not go out at night outsie the city if you are not ready to fight or run for your life. It's very dangerous out there! new more powerfull monsters appear that you can see at daytime. You always need to watch your back, beacuse ghost can appear and attack you from behind.

Jumpboots will make you jump super high!..

EQUIPMENT

Try to save up money for a pair of Jump Boots; these cost 50 000 gold, and can be purchased from a clown looking character called Wonald Izzi Jackson. he is located behind the wall where the elves are located in Topple Town. You can easily collect that money by fishing at Ogre Lake, if you are careful.

Jump Boots are perfect for climbimg mountains, jumping over buildings or running away from enemies.

FIGHTING

Your safest tactic for fighting monster is to keep a safe dinstance from the enemy. My best tip is to choose if you wish to used  Range weapon or Magic spell, in combat. Grind gold up until you can purchase your first decent gear and test the waters by attacking monster. But make sure you have a high ground since monst enemies are hard to kill with early gear.

MAGIC - There are several different spell that the player can learn by purchasing a spellbook. Each spellbook has its own abilities that makes each spell unique to play with. Here are some interesting spell to take a look at:

  • Nature's Wrath Spellbook - Believed to have been written by the plants themselves. It shoots a beem that damages the enemy and heals back players health.
  • Firesoul Spellbook - The ignited Firesoul, used to cast pyromancy spells. This is a great first spell for a magic caster.

RANGE WEAPONS - Range weapons use amunition and are very good in ranged combat. You can attack from a far distance and you do most damage in range combat.

MELE WEAPONS - I would avoid using melee weapons in comabt, beacuse you need to get so close to the enemy to actually do damage. But melee weapons do the most damage of all weapons. You can always experiment.

WATCH YOUR BACK!!..

Make sure you watch your back when you are traveling outside the town walls. Monsters alwasy sneak up on your back. Be ready to run if you see a powerful mosnter, most of the can kill you with one hit for beginning players.

SELL YOUR ITEMS & TREASURES

An adventurer needs to earn gold to be able to purchase better magic, armor, weapons and other items. This can be mostly done by gathering items and selling them to the Bear venders found around central part of the towns.

Big Box is found near the big gates of Topple Town.. and Little Chelli is found next to the fountain in The Town of Right and Wrong. Both of these venders will buy item and give you gold.

FISHING

Fishing iss a great way to earn your first gold coins in the game. and probably the best way to make money in the game if you know where to fish. Each area has it's own special water creatures to fish up, and there are even secret fishing spots with rare catch.

The players can fish in any body of water including river, lake, pond, beach and even fountains , and then sell your catch to venders for gold coins.

If you are lucky than you could fish up a Chest, that could have a super rare item inside that is worth allot if sold to venders.

New fishing rod..

You can find vendors that can sell you a better fishing rods. new rods are expensive but they improve the speed of your fishing. Making it faster for the player to fish.

Go fish at Topple Lake!..

There are many ways to gather items and sell them to the Bear Venders.. for a begginner the best tip is to go fish at the nearest lake.. this is the fastest and best way to earn gold in the game..

A great fishing spot for begginins is Topple Lake. This is where everyone learns to fish for the first time, and earn gold from it. I you are lucky, you may even find couple of chests.

Topple Lake is located up the road from the central part of Topple Town.

Go fish at Ogre Lake!..

Another great fishing spot is located north of Ogre Town, it goes by the name of Ogre Lake. The player can catch a high value fish that has a value of 50,000 gold coins.

You can travel quicker to Ogre Town by traveling with the Air Ship, found within Topple Town.

Firefly Stones

Stick collects firefly stones and rewards the player with treasure..

GATHERING

Another great way to earn gold coins is to go on a hike outside the towns. Across the land there are rare mushrooms, flowers and collectebles that can be found scattered around the world.

Some of these items are very rare can help you earn allot of gold when returning it to the vendor bears.

Only pick up items that are valuable..

There are sveral different items to collect. Not all of them are of any high value. Learn what items are more valuable than others to avoid picking up items that are not worth much gold.

Commonly the items that are listed lower in the Itempedia, are worth more gold. The player can open the Itempedia by selecting i-key on the keyboard.

Keep your Firefly Stones..

Do not sell your Firefly Stones, a character that goes by the name Stick is looking for them. The player can exchangem for super rare and valuable items. Exchanging 150 Firefly Stones will give you a high change to receive a super rare item from Stick.

The best part is that Firefly Stones stack and won't take much space in the inventory, and you won't loose them when you die.

Stick is always on the move, he switches location each day, and can be found in different spots around towns.

MINING

Mining ores/gems and then selling it to venders, is another great way for noobs to earn gold coins. You can mine ores from rocks by using the Pickaxe tool.

Not all ores/gems are created equl, the rarer they are the morth worth they have:

  • Copper - 8 gold coins
  • Tin - 8 gold coins
  • Iron - 40 gold coins
  • Cobalt - 250 gold coins
  • Titanium - 1 500 gold coins
  • Gold - 3 000 gold coins
  • Onyx - 5 000 gold coins
  • Ruby - 3 000 gold coins
  • Sapphire - 8 000 gold coins
  • Emerald - 15 000 gold coins

You can make the Pickaxes faster to use by upgrading it from Benny Orman found in a house located behind the hotel in Topple Town.

SMELTING

Ores can be used for smelting into metal bars, that later can be used for crafting new armor pieces. You can do this by using a furnace.

You need to combine ores to craft a metal bar:

  • Bronze Bar - Combine 1 Coal + 1 Copper Ore + 1 Tin Ore
  • Iron Bar - Combine 1 Coal + 1 Iron Ore
  • Cobalt Bar - Combine 1 Coal + 1 Cobalt Ore
  • Titanium Bar - Combine 2 Coal + 1 Titanium Ore
  • Gold Bar - Combine 2 Coal + 1 Gold Ore
  • Onyx Bar - Combine 3 Coal + 1 Onyx Ore

You need a specific amount of metal bars to craft a peice of armor:

  • Helmet - 4 metal bars
  • Boots - 4 metal bars
  • Legs - 8 metal bars
  • Armor - 10 mental bars

CRAFTING ARMOR IS ONLY FOR BEGINNERS..

Crafting armor in Final Frontier is only for beginner characters, there are more powerful armors that you acquire, and you don't earn any significant amount of gold coins when selling the crafted armor.

PLANTS & GARDENS

The player could earn passive gold coins by purchasing seeds and planting them in gardens.

You don't need to water the crops, you simply plant them into the soil at specific locations, when ready you can save the crops of sell them at the vendor. You can make some easy extra gold coins through this method.

There are 8 seeds to choose from:

  • Beet'zo Seed - 15 min to grow - price 250-500 gold coins - earn 800-2 000 gold coins.
  • Giant's Corn Seeds - 30 min to grow - price 800-1 200 gold coins - earn 2 400-4 800 gold coins.
  • Fantastic Sunflower Seeds - 8 hr. to grow - price 6 000-1 4000 gold coins - earn 4000-150 000 gold coins.
  • Mandrake Seed - 12 hr. to grow - Unpurchasable
  • Nightmare Seed - 12 hr. to grow - price 9 000-18 000 gold coins - earn 20 000 gold coins.
  • Divine Grape Seeds - 24 hr. to grow - price 25 000-35 000 gold coins - earn 23 331-62 216 gold coins.
  • Noble Blue Seed - 2 hr. to grow - price 90 000-140 000 gold coins - can't be sold but instead plants a Noble Blue Flower.
  • Gift Tree Seed - 72 hr. to grow - price 1 900 000-2 100 000 gold coins - earn 1 400 000 - 3 500 000 gold coins.

GARDENS

There are total of 4 gardens in fantastic frontier and each garden has 4 plots each, that can be used for planting one seed.

  • GARDEN of TOPPLE HILL - Located outside the town of Topple hill, between the market out side the town and the main enterance of topple hill
  • GARDEN of THE TOWN OF RIGHT AND WRONG - Can be found when entering The Town Of Right And Wrong, and then taking the right path  before the fountain.
  • GARDEN of ABANDONED ORCHARD - This garden is the hardest one to reach, it is a bit far away from any town. it's located next to the Maze Wood and has a big abandoned farm house.
  • GARDEN of FARM FORTRESS - This can be reached by following the path into the forest from Topple hill. Unfortunatly this needs to be unlocked by helping the farmers on on the field. One of the farmers needs help with capturing white rabbits. Save their pelth and give it to the farmer to unlock the garden. White Rabbits are rare and it will take you some time to complete this quest.

The player can get access to more storage space in the at the Red Ogre Inn in Topple Town. As you enter the Red Ogre Inn you'll find the Public Storage Box where you can store 5 items. If you want additional more storage space or any other benefits than the player has the option to purchase houses. There are several houses in the game that offers different benefits.

    • LOCATION - Near the beach under Blue Ogre Camp.
    • BENEFITS - Bed, Boat ride to Matumada, 20 Storage Slots.
  • Black Tower - 5 000 000 Gold
    • LOCATION - Outside the Town of Right And Wrong.
    • BENEFITS - Bed, Fishing Well, Furnace, Portal to Topple Town, Smithing Station, 60 Storage Slots.
  • White Tower - 5 000 000 Gold
    • LOCATION - Near the beach, up on a hill around the The Quiet Field.
    • BENEFITS - Bed, Furnace, Ore Wall, Portal to The Town of Right and Wrong, Smithing Station, 60 Storage Slots.
  • Ice Spire - 15 000 000 Gold
    • LOCATION - found by following the left side of the Matumada island coast. You can reach Matumada by taking the boat found near the Boathouse.
    • BENEFITS - Bed, Fishing Well, Zap Machinery to The Forgotten Lands, 80 Storage Slots.
